Movement continues lower since the last report.
Hay growers focusing their attention on first cuttings and selling out
of some old crop inventory with reports of old crop hay being totally
sold out in the Treasure Valley area.
Moisture continues to be higher since the last few years in most areas
for the time of year and optimism continues on for the upcoming hay
season.
According to the U.
S.
Drought Monitor Website, Oregon has adequate soil moisture in most of
the whole state for this time of year.
According to the Oregon crop progress report as of April 20th, 2025,
pasture is 40% good condition, winter wheat is 45% good condition, 18%
of field corn has been planted this week.
